Good Morning!
I am proud to announce the newly formed “racing division” of the Low Country Paddlers. Although we assembled for the first time yesterday, it was for the Hunting Island Paddlefest. Five people. Only two had done any real training. I think all but one were over 50 years old, with the oldest at 67.
Every member placed in his or her category. Three in first place, two in second.
Does ANYONE in your club participate in these events? We are issuing a challenge to you and the other clubs in South Carolina. Are you up for the LCP challenge? You have all winter to train.
Cordially,
Rick Carter
Thanks for the information on your organization. I will pass it along to the Longbay club members. We are just now working on our paddle calendar for this new year. Our meetings will start up again in February. Norris Buck Longbay Paddlers Myrtle Beach
