I’m a kayaker from the DC area. I’ll be camping in Myrtle Beach in a week. I typically paddle alone in the afternoon (with my dog). I’m interested in a good put-in spot on rivers that are no more than Class I. Also, I read there are alligators. Any tips on paddling where they don’t swim/live? I’m 55 with not-so-reliable knees, so boat launches or nice sandy put-ins are preferred for stability. I paddle about 2 hours at a time. All my trips have to be round trip since I won’t have someone to pick me and my kayak up to return me to my car. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much!
